Piggery, a form of income project for Baetolau Farmers

Piggery is increasingly popular among Baetolau farmers. Many farmers have seen piggery as not only for incoming generation, rather, a source of organic fertiliser to the root crops and vegetables in their gardens.

Two Baetolau members attend mid term planning with Kastom Gaden

Two members of the Baetolau Farmers Association attended planning with the Kastom Gaden Association (KGA) at Burns Creek, Honiara. Baetolau chairman, Lawrence Timothy Aldo and Coordinator Osonty Luda attended the planning workshop to present on the activities for the next six months the Baetolau farmers acticipated to reach with root crop farming.

"It is a preveledge for us the Baetolau farmers to get the support in time from the Kastom Gaden to continue our next six months activities", said Osonty Luda.

The Baetolau Farmers Association is a community organization aiming at empowering its nearly 500 members to involve in food security activities under the "King Crop" and livestock developments.
