About Me

Baetolau Farmers Association: Baetolau Farmers Association is an association of rural farmers from the three main dialectic groupings in North Malaita: Baelelea, Tobaita, and Lau. The initiation of the Baetolau Farmers Association goes back to a time when the Kastom Gaden Association visited the region to create a network of farming partners, as it did in different parts of the Solomon Islands. Aim of the Baetolau from the beginning, is to develop and secure better sustainable living standards for its members. This led to the registration of the Baetolau Farmers Association under the Solomon Islands Charitable Act, to become a community organization.
